Oh Snap! Patent Office cancels Redskins Name

Today, the office's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board ruled that the Redskins trademark is offensive to Native Americans. Well duh, right? We knew that, but I will continue.

The board ruled that "these registrations must be canceled because they were disparaging to Native Americans."

The Patent Office will continue to used the patents while the team appeals the decision, they have two months to do that. However, if they were smart, they would let it go and change everything. No need to continue this hateful brand.

Here's a little bit more about this

the R word is just as h8ful as the N word and the F word (not fuck). if there are no teams using the N word and the F word, then there should be NO TEAM using the R word either.

dan snider (the owner) should be tarred and feathered for his resistance to change the team's name!
